Mamete Prevostini Botonero Nebbiolo Alpi Retiche 2020 750ml

The Botonero is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Alpi Retiche IGT in the province of Sondrio at an altitued of 300 to 700 meters. The soils are composed of sand, silt, and limestone with a high content of granite rocks. All grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel with only 6 days on the skins, then aged in tank for 8 months with a further 6 months of bottle-aging before release. Mid-ruby color with aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries with subtle notes of spice and lilac.  The palate is medium bodied with good freshness and supple tannins that frame the ripe fruit flavors as they flow into a moderate, though persistent finish.
