Francois Lurton Hacienda Araucano Humo Blanco Sauv Blanc 2024 750ml

Sweaty, briny aromas are packed to the hilt with pyrazines and oily citrus scents. A flat, oily palate is oddly flabby, while this tastes of bitter greens, tart grape skins, pineapple and alfalfa.There is a sweetness to this wine that takes away from the inherent qualities of the grape, but it drinks easy. On the nose there is an odd blend of under ripe bell pepper and what I can only describe as granola, weird right? But on the palate that granola works to hide the cloying pepper notes, transforming into more of a vanilla yogurt thing. Its refreshing enough for an affordable party wine.
