The Los Carneros area north end of the Bay Area of California is acclaimed one of the best cool climate Pinot Noir areas anywhere. This wine could well be proof of that. Rich dark crimson colour with better than modest aromas and distinct flavours of dark cherry, raspberry, plum, soft tobacco, blackberry, chocolate and very mellow oak barrel aging. It has a smooth full body texture that is subtly soft with a long silky spicy finish. Not too dry and had a nicely balanced mouth feel that is very tasty.
