Chanson Pere & Fils Clos des Mouches Blanc 2020 750ml

Premier Cru Beaune 'Clos des Mouches' by Chanson Père & Fils is a very pleasant wine, made from pure Chardonnay grapes that grow on stony soil composed of limestone, clay and silica. The vineyard is four and a half hectares wide, in a hilly and sunny area. The refinement lasts for a year or so in oak barrels, in the splendid cellar of the fifteenth century. An ideal wine to accompany seafood or white meats. This is a wine with lovely ripeness, white pear flesh filling out the middle, then extending long into the finish. That initial promise is fulfilled as the wine develops, powerful and gracious, its elastic tension suddenly giving way to a flood of pale, rich fruit.

Gold color. Subtle floral fragrances mixed with citrus fruit aromas on a hint of minerality. Fleshy and bright on a tight texture. Deep and long finish with salty tinges.
