Amarone della Valpolicella is a rich Italian dry red wine and it is nothing less than sensational. It shows ripe cherry and raisin notes, with an intriguing earthiness and remarkable persistence in the finish. Valpolicella is in the province of Verona, within the large Veneto region near Venice.
