The 2016 Picconero the estate's Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend packs a pretty serious punch. There is plenty of power and density that much is obvious. It will be interesting to see how things develop over the coming years. Today oak tannins are imposing. Even so I am cautiously optimistic. Picconero is the most extroverted and potent wine in the Tolaini range.
