Finca la Escarcha Encubierto 2018 750ml

A blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Malbec, and 20% Syrah from 15 year old estate grown sustainably farmed vines planted at 2900-3700+ ft in elevation. The nose bursts with blackberry and raspberry fruits, with hints of pipe tobacco and black pepper adding some nuance, at once intriguing and inviting, you know you're in for something special. Aged for 12 months in a combination of French oak barrels and concrete tanks, there's plenty of weight and power. But at 14.5% alcohol it's not heavy, it's juicy and supple with lots of dark berries coating your tongue. There's a good firm backbone of tannins and fresh minerals leading into a long smooth finish.
