This light straw colored Chardonnay from Donelan opens with a banana and oak like bouquet with hints of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a green apple and mild oak blend with hints of minerality, pink grapefruit and pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This food friendly Chardonnay would pair well with shrimp scampi or baked halibut stuffed with crab.
