This cool air influence in an otherwise hot, rugged environment helps keep the clusters cool while the tannins and flavors develop. Deep dark ruby with crimson hues at the rim. Also aparent high density. Intense berry jam, caramel, licorice and wood notes. Blackberry, pepper and licorice, spice, violet and cloves on the mouth. This wine opens up more and more with time. Smooth long long mouthfeel and finish.
