From a Distillery with more ups and downs that a pogoing punk comes Ardcore. Created with roasted black malt, roasted to the extreme, this spirit is all about what happens up front centre stage. The malt is what defines its distinctive profile. Described as tasting like ‘biting on a spiky ball’, Ardcore is a dram that wears its heart on its sleeve its black heart! In aroma peat, cold ash, vanilla, citrus, spices and a watery sensation. peat to chew, at least we are good at Ardbeg. still the ashes, then a bacony, meaty and fine salty aspect arises, there are citrus fruits which give a little freshness, it is sweet and not very alcoholic, on the other hand it is quite monolithic apart from these primary scents. the bright side with peppery spice, stewed fruit, ash and swirling smoke. a good dram for his taste buds which does not transcend, which does not give in to novelty.
